SCAM. Indian accent, hectic indian call centre background, typical scammers, they said they recieved word this morning from the UK government that I was in debt. They failed to provide my full name, my address, or any information as to how they got my number other than 'from the government' It's a bit funny because they tried this last month as well off a different number when the government contacted their office to get in contact with me that morning too, they know nothing but your number and partial name

Asked how he knew that, told me it is in his database, I asked what details he had about me and my property in his database and to treat that question as a GDPR request with 28 days to comply before I report this to the Government Information Commissioner. Someone calling on behalf of "investment management" companies for ex-pats overseas. Couldn't/wouldn't tell me how they had my number. It was annoying and suspicious.
I ve been getting constant calls from this number which have gone "dead" when I pick up for weeks. Yesterday they finally told me they were from Vodaphone and my number was one of their numbers so they needed it back. They needed to move me to their contract. When I said it had never been a Vodaphone number they then said would anyone else I know be interested!
