The number is a Manchester number but based in South Africa, which is suspicious to start with. IT IS A SCAM The person they named left here over 9 years ago and has updated her contact details with LLOYDS each time she moved. I was called by this number this morning. They told me they were calling regarding my licence from MICROSOFT being lapsed. They told me they would be able to renew my licence and could show me how to remove hackers from my laptop. I allowed these people access to my laptop thinking I was removing the hackers and viruses from the laptop. They gained access to my files and I have had money removed from my bank account (now closed).
They've called me several times this week. I missed them all as I'm at work with my phone on silent. I've told them months and months ago to NOT phone me, which they promised. Then it all started back up again. Really angry about this.
