These people handle "deceased accounts" on behalf of Eon in UK. (I suspect they buy the debt). They also seem very interested in probate matters - perhaps they gain extra business this way. However - was pleasant call (got my number from Eon - I am Mum s executor), and they were not chasing payment just establishing status.

I have received five missed calls from this number so far, in the last two days. The sixth was at 06:04pm, on the 17/01/2013. It was a woman, I never caught the companies name, but she was calling from Manchester. She knew all my details and was calling on the subject of repaying loans and debts.

It was an openreach engineer, called to confirm if I wanted 2 lines installed and then to call my ISP to cancel one of them.

Same hangup here, twice today. Same NHS response on calling back saying they would call later. I have an appointment next week in rheumatology and had called them earlier to see...

Knew my name and stated he wasn t trying to sell me anything but wanted me to complete a survey and would then make sure I wasn t called again. Number doesn t actually exist but is spoofed by a South West Asian company.

This number phoned me suggesting that I could claim ?3750 compensation for a totally bogus, non-existent accident that I never had. It s a scam, and these people are social pariahs.
