Microsoft Scam guy couldn't even say his supposed english name
Asian caller who said it was Adam from Open Reach and there was a problem with my internet and my connection would be lost in 4 hours. He said I needed to turn on a computer or laptop so he could sort the problem out. I told him my laptop needed charging up and he said he would call back in half an hour. He called back but we did not answer and he then tried every 2-3 minutes, ringing approx 15 to 20 times. Vodafone call centre constantly phoning me to check if the service is ok. They phone again even after I have spoke to them.
Called me up and did not know my name, made several attempts - when asked why he did not know who the name of the person he was calling and asked what he was calling for he hung up. Is this number used by a foreign based nuisance call unit? How did they get my number as I have signed any internet (including local authority) site as not wishing my details to be passed on. Is there any way I can find if I am on any list?

Missed the first call from this number around lunchtime. Received a second call at 5:20pm the same day. Thought it was a recruitment agent so answered. Turned out to be an English chap claiming to want to speak to me about a car accident. He knew my full name and postal address. I told him there was no such accident and to remove my details from his database immediately. I then hung up. Something of a worry that he had so many of my personal details.

Caller rang and said his name was David Parker, he had a very heavy Asian accent and sounded like he was in a call centre. He claimed to be from BT and said our broadband connection was insecure. When I asked for a contact number he gave me the number 02032898768. I rang this number and it rang several times then cut off. I realised it was a scam and thought nothing more of it. Then around 4 hours later he phoned again and said had I rang the number as he had been waiting for my call as it was important
