Called claiming I could claim PPI, as soon as I said I'd never taken out a loan/CC etc. he put the phone down. I've now blocked the number.

Funny this..had the same call today from this number to both my mobile AND Landline. The only people that have both my mobile AND Landline number are Talk Talk as they are work numbers and I don t give them out.

Yet another unknown number calling one registered with the TPS and leaving no message. Another scammer or illicit sales call - who knows?

Some guy called "David" says he s phoning from the tax office with a rebate of ?3250, that the courier is waiting to deliver it to you once you confirm you can take delivery. Told him I thought he was a scammer, tax rebates do not come in this way!! And told where I thought he could go and place his head. Total scammers - beware!

I ve received 3 calls from these idiots - two I failed to answer but after reading posts on sites like this decided, for my own amusement, to answer on the third call. The chap on the other end rambled on about insurance and said he was from a company called Red Star. When I asked who Red Star were he got quite abrupt/aggressive. Called twice within seconds. No message left. Allegedly from "Abington" which does not appear to exist. Irritating

I had a call from this number purporting to be from the "Smile the Internet Bank" fraud dept. I terminated the call as I was not satisfied with their line of questioning.

Following a search on GoCompare your details are passed to these guys who call offering a better quote and ask you to hold the line while they transfer you to another company who has no idea who you are. I guess they get kick backs for getting you there.

wanted me to have my toaster and video recorder machine checked to stop them bursting into flames. Had another call later and no one on the other end - felt uneasy and shut my curtains.
