Just received a call from an Asian gentleman called Alex Carter claiming to be from BT and saying I have a problem with my IP/internet connection. Told him I am not with BT as they are useless but he insisted that all other providers use BT and it was up to them to sort out and stop all these other people using my internet I just need to start up my computer and allow their technician access to fix! If you a BT phone put in 1572 option 1 it will block future calls you need to press the 1 two times but instructions given on phone to block

at this point a misdial from a local number, in which case no harm done I don't use my landline except for internet connections and never answer it if it rings. If this number rings again I will block the number. If it was someone I knew they would have my mobile number and know to use it.

This number rings my phone repeatedly 4 or 5 times a day. I don t answer as I only answer callers I know. Who are these people they are now driving me mad.

4 calls this morning from this number and hang up when I answered. Now blocked this number but know it will not stop as another number will be used.

Called back this number to find out what they want and they told me they cannot say unless they speak to the right person. They won t even tell me their company name and what they do. What company doesn t want to tell you that.
