Handset showed a local number but was also saying 'International' call. Said they were from Amazon and were talking about an Iphone at which point I hung up as it has nothing to do with me. I then tried ringing the local number which displayed but the number was not recognised.

Persistently calling the last couple of digits of the number change to like 5176 or 5274 or 5175 etc. They call at antisocial hours eg Sunday mornings etc. I suspect, although I never answer, that they’re some kind of debt collector for councils.

I knew it was a scam because my maiden name is Banister, and they sent a link, going to MY gmail inbox, with the same phone number listed above. I have made a report on them and I feel as though we all should in order to stop these scammers
