cold call. "your accident"

Just had a phone call saying I took a loan out in 2005. Wanted to know my bank details so that they could send me a cheque for ppi. A complete con. He became aggressive when I said no. He knew name and address despite being ex-directory.

This number tells you to phone another number 118 which is a number that charges you to phone. Another scam

Rings me twice a day for several days running. Hangs up when I answer.

Spam, claim to be from Ministry of Justice... PPI scam etc etc... called them back and said Alah was a child molester and I got and earful of abuse, they're probably trying...

Got a call from a guy asking me if i had problems with my ears of if i had worked in a noisy environment. Hung up when i said no. Called the number to see who they were and where they were from but the number is not recognised.

Said they had heard I worked for a factory. I said I have never worked in a factory and they put the phone down. They knew my name?? Immediately blocked the number on my mobile and did a search on the internet when I got home. Will now download your tellows app.

Just had this number call - but I never pick up the phone. Worst thing you can do, as it confirms to the other end yours is a proper phone number which will be sold on to every piece of scum in the known universe. My advice, which works a treat: tell all your real contacts to call you for the first 4 or 5 beeps, then to put the phone down. An online trading company claiming I had registered on their site. I have no idea how they retrieved my phone number or email address. They were aggressive and insistent

These have got hold of my dad s card details but he s not sure how (probably over the phone) he has now had £79 taken from his account which he s had to cancel. Don t trust them!!!

got a call from this number and they hung up when I answered. few mins later someone rang quoting my name and address saying we had been getting unwanted calls. they could block these calls etc sounded good till charge of 1.90 a month mentioned. i asked who reported these calls but he said it was a general thing people in this area were suffering from. after hung up I checked the number of who called and was same as first caller who had hung up. these are the very same people we dont want calls from surely?
