SCAM / SPAM Scam claiming bt internet technician. First he states his name is justin. Then he states jim. He had a foreign - Indian or Pakistani accent. Tells you to download team viewer app from play store/ Apple store and then asks you for the id number. They will try to block your device and charge you to unlock it. When I stated I use virgin he saud by can fix the virgin technical problems too. If I had a problem I would ring my provider which was none of the ones I have mentioned here.

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.
