Amanda Smith called with same script about being involved in a car accident. Refused to answer why she was cold calling. Number showed as from Sunderland on my mobile,but definitely no local accent.
When I answered an automated message claimed that it was from HMRC and there was a lawsuit filed against me, my house was under surveillance and failure to call back promptly could result in my prosecution. Obviously I didn't call back as it is either a phishing scam or a premium charge number. Blocking the call to avoid further intrusions.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam offers (in most cases some financial offers). For sure some general call centre. I recommend to block the whole 8438727xxx range... People did someone answer this number?
