Just spent an hour on the phone to British Gas them for an account i held for only 2 weeks before switching a supplier. (they want three years address history!!) Now they want more of my time...seriously?!!!
SCAM - Ive won the postcode lottery - which I do not do! and when I quetsioned would you like my bank details to totally scam me, she said no mam youve got it all wrong, so I said explain to me how Ive won the lottery... and sadly she putt he phone down, so disaapointed by this as I do love to waste their time!

Scam exceptionally aggressive Micheal Masterson (suspect not his real name) bitcoin salesman who said to a female, quote "I'm recording this and all your calls, you are not even a human to me, I'm going to report you to the financial industry standards, you dickhead, do you want me to report you for not answering my questions?" I'd told him that I was not interested in and that I had told the previous 43 callers the same! Does the phone blocking facility ever get full? Hope not.

When I said I had no connection to Carphone Warehouse, she said this was a promotion call about some Samsung mobile. I doubted whether it was from Carphone Warehouse. Anyway, I said I was perfectly happy with my Nokia phone and hung up.

Or as I also suspect as the company .br is for Brazil. They may even manage to get your call transferred from the UK telephone number to Brazil at your expense.
Claimed to be from Amazon, saying that someone had placed a £~2K order on my account and I had to push 1 or 2 to resolve the issue. Checked my account, no such order. Phoned back, got some poor woman who was at a beauty appointment. Someone is managing to get around fraud prevention by spoofing the number sources.
Ringing everyone in the office, one after another, about accidents & if you had one or know anyone who has. Do not trust or ring this idiot back.

This appears to be a scam to obtain credit card details for illegal purposes. We called the number and was immediately asked for our credit card number, but NOT WHICH CREDIT CARD NUMBER, which raises concern over legitimacy, as we have several cards, so which one would we use?

This number called me and was an automated message about Amazon Prime Video (which I Don't subscribe to) it said it was taking £95.00 from my account to pay for re-subscription. Obviously a scam but has left me nervous that somehow, someone may know how to access my bank account.
