Silent call. Received a call from (07458 148209) on my mobile, although very few people know my mobile number. When I managed to answer there was nothing to be heard from the caller's end so I assumed it was some dodgy scammer. Fraud This number is scam calling pretending to be HMRC and extorting people and making threats. It asks for you to press 1 and once you talk to someone they keep pretending they are HMRC.... Said I was going to call the police and they hung up.
They said call was to update my cover for my central heating boiler, which was £20 month and they were reducing it to £16 a month, yeah right!

Company apparently called Quigley & Carter using various mobile numbers to send spam texts. Today s text said "The Banks are refunding customers up to 2000 who have paid a monthly fee on packaged accounts, visit www.mybankrefund.com for your refund today or optout.cc" The website mybankrefund.com apparently belongs to Quigley & Carter and has the following text at the bottom of their website: Quigley & Carter Limited a company registered in England and Wales. This number sent me a message claiming to be from PayPal. Asks me to follow a link to a page where I need to verify my identity to regain my account as they have limited it - I have the PayPal App and my account is not limited. DO NOT FOLLOW THE LINK AND DELETE MESSAGE!

09 Dec 2021 - Has called 3 days in a row, not sure if its robotic or a person but after I say hello there is silence and they put the phone down. I suspect they are testing numbers to see who answers then possibly sell this data on to other spam callers. Don't bother answering, block number if you can. Reply
