SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. Scammer called at 01:23 and woke me up. Told them where to go.
claimed to be from BT and wanted to reduce my telephone bills by 30 per cent as a reward for long standing custom. I then ended the call.. Caller had strong Indian accent.

Rude Asian man telling me about a problem with my computer. His supervisor called me back and asked why I had been rude to his staff. I told him that he was rude by saying that he would put a block on my computer and I would have to pay to get it working again. The 3rd call was just shouting at me in a foreign language. Calls 4 and 5 were silent but I could hear the same people in the background.

I don t have any policies, this is a pest call. I had a call two days ago from a woman claiming to be from the MORI poll, tried to get me to sign up to EDF and give out information on what insurance policies I have. Suspect they are linked. Another one for the blocked number list!
