SCAM / SPAM Apparently I've committed tax fraud, I don't even know what taxes are.
Kept having voicemail left threatening with County Court but left no company name. Called them back and he said he was from HMRC. Absolute scam- do not give these people any details.
Received a phone call saying that he worked for windows and that a large number of logged reports of potential threats to my computer had been received by them and they were phoning to try and sort it out. Like the person before he gained access to my computer and said that windows defender was out of date and needed to be updated at a cost of £150. Total scam - do not even speak to these people.
Recorded voice, something about Magistrates Court and threatening legal action if the call was ignored... I hung up but can't imagine any genuine legal matter, of which I am aware of none, would be taken up via voice recording!

This was a call from somebody purporting to be calling from the Times subscription department about a problem with my account. I was just suspicious and phoned the main Times newspaper subscription service number. They confirmed that the call from the Colchester number was genuine.
