As a person who works in the It industry I can tell you that these people are not qualified to be "Microsoft certified technicians. They lack the knowledge and expertise. Fraud. Second call today claiming to be from Bank Security. No mention of which bank. A recorded message about two alleged payments. Clearly fraud / scam.
Informing me I d had a car accident. I do not drive. Advised them I have never had a car accident. Unsurprisingly they immediately put the phone down when I informed them I work with RTA claims in a legitimate law firm. Called herself Amanda Smith. Do not be duped, it is illegal for law firms to approach potential clients in this way. Any company that does is not reputable.

I was asked about my pension history and whether I had a PIP. If I did the government have announced that I should be able to reclaim over-charging, particularly if my pension pot was more than £10,000. I asked for details of their website and she gave me theirs where there is no reference to this. Also mention gov.co.uk (which is obviously gov.uk) and I can find no reference to what she said. Also nothing on Moneysaving Expert, my go-to place for this type of thing.

SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.
New one on me, so goes to permanently blocked file.
