No idea who it was, called the number back and the number appears to be a defunct. as a precaution block the number and avoid as likely to be a spam.

Halifax Bank have never been the problem - much of the people, representing and procedures, incompetences and lack of getting things done Halifax have adopted however, including Baljit, are what give Halifax Bank a bad reputation.

Call from agent for EE, which I managed to get them to verify as the number on my phone came up as possible fraud. My broadband/TV Box price has now been frozen by them for 18 next months, (EE previously sent me warning it would be going up at end of contract date) and a free upgrade to super-fast broadband, from fast. The number has been calling me so many times and everytime I pick it up there s no one on the other side.
This is yet another phone number used by the moneygroup!! They are like a dog with a bone. If you have ever spoken to them for their advice of how to clear your debt in the past (in my case 2+ years ago) but preferred not to follow they advice - they DO NOT leave you alone!! Don t answer the call - save yourself the grief!!!

A recorded voice indicates an outstanding tax issue. Asking you to press 1 to be connected. Failure to do so will result in a warrant for your arrest (on the grounds of tax fraud) being issued. Her Majesty's Inspector of taxes would not phone if there was an issue. They would write to you. They know your address, but fraudsters and scammers like this do not. Do not press to accept the call. if you do they will know the number is in use an probably sell your number on to more scammers.

I have been spammed with calls from this company. I had 4 calls in the space of 2 hours while I was in a meeting at work. I finally picked up and told them I m not remotely interested in reviewing my pensions as they are handled through my company and to remove me from their database. They persisted in being very pushy and I hung up. 30 minutes later I received another call from the number and I blocked it.
