He said we was of "Websecurity......." can't get the last word, saying following me taking out a Firewall security plan with them in 2017! my renewal was due for the next 6 years in the sum of £1499.00 and if I did not phone to cancel they would automatically take this money from my account and I was to ensure there were sufficient funds. Microsoft phishing scam. caller will claim to be from Microsoft and that your computer is infected. they'll talk you through some plausible actions to see the event viewer, then ask you to go to a website and will try to take over your PC, at which point all your personal information becomes theirs!
SCAM claimed to be our Broadband providers (he did pull the right name out of fresh air) security department had indications that t a lot of files blocking the line to our router.Would I know why this was. I asked him not to phone again would report him to the police for harassment. He said was I accusing him of being a scam. To go to my computer he would tell me the license no from my account. I said no way. I asked him what (name of company) were going to do about the problem. He dropped the call.

These are the same people who used to call up pretending to be Talk Talk and say that your computer has a virus etc. This time they didn t mention Talk Talk, but the name above. I said I didn t deal with them and they said it was because I used Windows. I said that they weren t Microsoft. They have foreign/asian accents. I have only received calls like this since Talk Talk was hacked. I blocked them with Call Blocker, but they seem to call back using a multitude of numbers.
