Don’t know who they are, but suspect this is a scam. Had 4 calls from them, they hang up as soon as answer machine kicks in, then phone straight back, again hanging up when answer machine kicks in.

Man with an Asian accent asked for me by name & said he was Robin Williams from BT. I Told him I was putting the call on record and asked him to repeat his name. He then said “are you deaf you f*****g c**t” and hung up.
It is the number WhatsApp uses for certification and it is also useful if you need to reinstall the app or change phone. It happens that someone try with a random number to install a second copy of the app on another device. Couldn't understand name of company even though I asked him to repeat it. However very pleasant man calling about an incident report he'd received concerning an accident I'd been involved in. Told him I hadn't. He politely queried it, but I said I hadn't and was continually getting this type of call - he apologised and said he'd mark my number "not to call"

An extremely rude man (possibly antipodean accent) identified himself as being from the "Credit Protection Association", asking for our MD. My request for the reason for his call was met with abuse, so I ceased conversing with him. When I phoned back the number to make a complaint, I was met with a recorded message telling me I had received a marking call from the Credit Protection Association before it disconnected my call.
