SCAM - Seems to be a call centre as noisy line. Tried to obtain bank details etc under false pretences, alleging an engineer from BT has detected problems on my home landline and that without rectification I could incur £+ costs but if remedial action is taken quickly charges may be reduced. I asked for their engineer and departmental details but got nowhere so advised would call BT myself and the caller rang off. One for OfCom and other authorities.

SCAM - addressed me by my name and verified my address. The lady basically said that my fibre-glass wool loft insulation is no longer valid and they in my area tomorrow doing surveys in the neighbouring roads. This number called saying, in a computerised American voiced message, that it claimed to be from HMRC, that I was under investigation and that I had to call another number to pay. Definitely a scam.

They call to say I issues with my BT broadband but then got VERY abusive when i told him my number was registered with tps and he was breaking the law and that I was wasting his time as he was mine. I m a "Richard Head" and a "female dog" amongst other names.
An Asian gentleman said he was from talk talk and needed to check my router. Asked for access to my PC which I reluctantly gave as he was able to give me part of my address and my talk talk account number. Offered me a refund of ?200 but I needed to access my bank account. He had control of my PC so I did not want to do this. Hung up on him as he was too persistent for comfort!!!
