Guy calling himself Michael keeps calling my mothers home and telling her she is owed over ?3000 and to call this number.I have told her it is a scam so now she justs plays dumb and has a nice chat with him until he hangs up.
Rings for about 10 secs several times per day. Stops before you have chance to pick up your handset. Thought this type of call was one illegal. When are the Watchdogs going to fine these F. A s out of existence. One way of funding the Social Care Budget instead of putting on to the Council Tax Payers!!!
Call is a recorded message claiming that taxed is owed to the HMRC, but no name/address or other details are given as to who the call is intended for and that if you don't press 1 to be connected to an advisor immediately, then "a warrant will be issued and you will be arrested" - clearly a phishing scam, as even if HMRC notified people about outstanding tax owed by pre-recorded telephone message (they don't), they certainly don't threaten arrest via recorded message and they usually tend
SCAM Said they were BT, and our line was about to be cut off. So, not neutral folks, it's a scam. They can cut our BT landline if they want. We're in Hull on Kingston Telecom, so no BT landlines here. Their office location is said to be in London, on or close to Trafalgar Sq. ... so very close, the Met could pick them up. But somehow doubt that will happen.

This is a debt collection company. Often long term or aging debt is sold and the purchasing collection agency makes profit by aggressively chasing that debt. They use any data they can get to bug you typically to begin with by using automated dialers and recorded style messages. They do not check the age of the data or if they do they ignore it. here is evidently another round of these tiresome calls, claiming to be from a law firm , regarding an alleged minor car accident. From the accent, it is probably from the Sub-Continent and clearly rather sadly fraudulent. Ignore all protestations to the contrary.

Too long a pause to wait for an answer. After I received this call my virus protector warned me that my computer was connected to an unsafe wi-fi link. It definitely had been OK before. I don t know if there was any connection between these things but I would check your wi-fi after receiving it to be on the safe side
