SPAM The usual 'this is not a sales call' shite about some fictional government scheme to fit the double glazing/UPVC windows they want to sell me. Live in a listed house. Neither is allowed. Worse it wasn't even a chuffing human.
SCAM used to work for this company we were essentially paid to call elderly customers and lie to them that we were Dyson and miele and they had to pay for mandatory vacuum servicing etc, they would push us to sell to those with dementia because they could charge more and service more frequently awful company.
Cold call received mid-morning. Disrespectful, pushy and unprofessional. No contact from this local business ever before, yet rang using over-familiar approach and demanding to talk about IT and security contracts. No evidence of who they were, except their say so. This number phoned me at 16.31 this afternoon. It sounded as if there was an office or similar room with people talking. When I asked who was calling, without giving my name, a lady said "good afternoon, how are you today?" I asked again who was calling. the lady said " your father" and hung up. I believe this number to be a scam.
This is a genuine NHS number. They use it to call patients to cancel/alter appointments mostly. They cannot leave messages on answerphones because of confidentiality issues.
