Definite scam. I looked up Starpro - Aberdeen. They call off different numbers all based in Aberdeen and there's loads of people stating that they were scam artists trying to claim to be a phone company and asking for details.

Not sure about this number - a lady called Jo has just phoned me about energy conservation and need to check my loft insulation to. I am quite concerned as a surveyor is going to ring me to make an appointment to come and inspect the insulation. Have checked the number it’s from Peterborough! Won’t be letting anyone in my house.
Green Energy Together asking for a 25% upfront payment to secure our solar panel installation, they didn't introduce themselves properly so I didn't trust them and told them I'd rather stick to the agreement to pay on the day as originally agreed. They said I'd receive a confirmation email for the new install date but I didn't so I suspect this was a fraud caller.

A recorded message asking me to press 1 to stop a fraudulent transaction taking place on my "visa" card. But I don't have a visa card anyway. Received a similar call, couple of days ago from a mobile number 07514757657.
Fraud claim to inform me of transaction on my card but I have only ever had text messages from my bank when a suspect transaction has occurred so thin k this may be fraud.

Amazon scam from Asian call centre. Supposed fraudulent transaction on my Amazon account. Asked me to give six number code sent to me in SMS from Amazon - This was my two step verification code to change my password. All they need to get this sent to you is your Amazon account linked phone number. I did of course refuse.
Claimed to be able to save me money on my mobile phone bill. Claimed originally to be from EE, but that isn't my provider, he then argued with me about my provider - he eventually hung up. I always keep them talking as much as possible to save the next poor victim.
Cold call received mid-morning. Disrespectful, pushy and unprofessional. No contact from this local business ever before, yet rang using over-familiar approach and demanding to talk about IT and security contracts. No evidence of who they were, except their say so. This is not someone that you would wish to talk to blind on the phone and not a business that thinks about their approaches and the need to safeguard their prospective customers against "fishing expeditions". SCAM Said from Vodafone upgrade team and could offer me a great deal on a upgrade. Asked them to email me the details so I could check it over. Email looked dodgy, address wasn't a Vodafone one. Forwarded onto Vodafone and they said not a genuine email from them. Called me back again and got angry when I challenged them on what Vodafone said. Told me I'd get another email to prove they were genuine within 30mins, still waiting a few hours later. Four calls today alone, all from different numbers!

SCAM, they crawl databases for car accidents and seem to be trying to make money from it in some way. AVOID.
Recorded message reporting unusual activity on my credit card. One transaction from Amazon and a foreign transaction for 999 pounds. Press 1 to authorise payment or 2 to speak to an advisor Strongly suspect this is a scam. As it was a local number I tried to call it back later and got unobtainable signal. Beware.
