I have BT guardian which asks callers to announce who they are before I answer. Most sales calls hang up at that point, this one didn't. Lovely lady explained that I could have a half hour appointment to check energy efficiency of my home and advise of any improvements. I made the appointment. Very polite young man called Adam arrived, checked the loft and roof, looked around, discussed my energy payment per month. The information given was useful, nothing to sign, no sales pitch. I would have no worries.

Had a call every day from different area codes - no answer. Rang back each different number and it s a call centre from a company called Allay - not sure who or what but suspicious if they are using virtual landline numbers all over the UK.

These people obtain, STEAL, your tel. number from your ip address via metadata. Ever come accross annoying adverts when browsing online which doesn t let you close? ie. Engadget, youtube etc... Mine was a survey which popped up whilst online and I had to wait 20secs inorder to dismiss that advert. Enduring the agonising 20 secs. And when u click any of those annoying adverts to go away it wont let you, however during that 20sec period what they do is they steal all your metadata incl. your ip address, pr

I'm from Spain so i didn't take the call i case of extra charges. I was called three times in a row after hanging up each time.

Said they were calling about my internet, I've had loads of these lately. When I asked a few questions and told him my internet was fine they hung up.
This looks 100% like a local number - but beware - it is NOT. It is a computer voice purporting to be from Amazon to say that I have been charged £399 for a phone, and to press 3 to confirm my details. When will this type of call be stopped??

This Bitch phoned me saying she was from Home Serve, knew my name and what appliances i had on a previous policy, i havent been with home serve for about 6 yrs, so when she said i paid £200 for a 2 year cover and that she was calling for a 3rd years cover for £169, i knew she was talking a load a shit. Hate these people, they should be sent to jail fir life.

SPAM - Caller hung up immediately after I answered. When I tried calling back there is a BT-type message saying the system is busy and to try again later. Seems like one of those calls to check if a phone number is active.

A computerised voice call. nYour Amazon Prime Account has been hacked. 5 times in 5 hours I ve received this call.
Indian voice said from Microsoft. Told him to get lost. He said that because I was uncooperative he was going to block my computer, he was full of threats. That got me really going and I told him to get on and block it (there is NO way he could). After me making more comments to him he rang off. I think this is probably a Nigerian scammer who has been able to tack himself onto an English telephone number.
