A young woman informed me that i had been involved in a car accident and was this correct? I informed her i had not been in a car accident and that i was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and asked her to take my details off any Call lists and i bid her goodbye and promptly put the phone down.

Had this number, 01619390228 call me a few times recently, they don t let the phone ring very long, have never left a voice message and on trying to call the number I get an engaged tone, will try to get to my phone quicker next time to answer, reckon it s a scam call, shouldn t be allowed !! My telephone number shouldn t be given out by any anyone except me !!

Just spoken to O2 regarding this number and the calls my wife had been getting. They confirmed that the number does belong to O2 and is not a scam, it is their Customer Research (for want of a better description) calling to ensure she was getting the right deal for her and to see if she wanted to upgrade, so I suppose they re Market Research/Sales. Perfectly safe to answer. If in doubt, just don t give answers to questions you feel uncomfortable about.

I am posting my comments on the company who own this number, not because they have been calling me but because they sent me a brochure for 30 days free trial on holidays. The enclosed letter stated that if I did not cancel within the 30 days ?99.99 would be debited from my account for the annual membership. When I was originally called regarding this I as told that they were sending this out to me and that if I didnt want it I could "put it in the bin". Calling from my internet provider, hung up as know they won t call me unless i ve requested a call back.

Kept calling me and when I finally answered, he started trying to ask me questions about who I was banking with. I refused to tell him as I was unsure of his intentions. He then stated my postcode, which was correct, and said he would send some information in the post.
