Fraud/SCAM Pretends to be Revolut, they knew my name, home address and email address used with Revolut. Claimed my card ending NNNN was added to new device, tried to get more information. When I asked how do I know they are Revolut, they said I can check number at the back of the card. Wanted to confirm my last transaction - if I shared information they would be able to possibly attempt access recovery on my account. The caller number can be easily spoofed. He calls himself TONY. Got this from 1st call when I had my call announcer on. 2nd time he never spoke to the answer m/c Blocked the number as he didn't follow instructions given. Maybe also report to telephone provider

Claimed to be able to save me money on my mobile phone bill. Claimed originally to be from EE, but that isn't my provider, he then argued with me about my provider - he eventually hung up. I always keep them talking as much as possible to save the next poor victim.

The caller with a strong foreign accent (possibly Indian) stated he was calling from BT Openreach about potential problem with my internet connection. So I thanked him for calling and hung up, as it sounded like it might be an all too frequent scam call.

SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.
Called with message about unauthorized payment from my debit card, if it wasn't you press 1. I did out of interest. Spoke with a man with Indian accent. He knew my name and surname which is highly unnerving. He said a payment of £900 and something pounds had been taken from my debit card. I replied "oh no, it wasn't me, can you help me?". He said yes, he needed some information. I asked which bank debit card? He said Amazon then hung up. Seriously!

Foreign sounding pre-recorded message about a substantial VISA debitcard transaction. Obvious scam - messages from banks, etc do not usually start "Dear Customer". Use of an apparently local number is clearly an attempt to give it some credibility.

This is a cold calling number being rerouted from India. They claim to offer a brand new mobile phone contract to iPhone users for £35/month, and they asked me how long I had my iPhone for (I don't have one). So I asked them where they got my number from. They claim to have my number on a database because I am a loyal customer. I asked them a loyal customer of what? My mobile service provider, they replied. Who is my mobile service provider, I asked. At which point they hung up. Block this number.

I have had a call from this number as I do not know it I let the answering machine get it, as soon as the announcement started the caller hung up. When I dialled the number back using 141 to block my own number the call was not picked up. I suspect a call centre of some form possibly phishing. Also had a missed call from 02089022545 which I assume is the same outfit. If genuine reason for call, why not leave a message?
