Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.

Rang my landline today and an automated message said that our phone would be cut off in 24 hours. As we pay by direct debit every month, it cannot be true. It said we should push 1 for BT or 2 for any other supplier. We think it was that scam where they try to get bank details. it rang back twice within ten minutes. We didnt answer either call.

This number has rung my home phone number twice in 5 minutes (which is ex directory & on the TPS!) My daughter answered the phone & the woman was insistant Id been in a Road traffic accident, she didnt say she was from a claim company . My daughter was worried & rang me on my mobile to make sure I was ok .Devious & unnecessary cold calling leaving my daughter upset I will be reporting this number to the TPS ..

Call centre stating that I may be eligible for loft insulation / help with my heating bills under a new government scheme. Caller went on to ask if I was a home owner and if I worked full time or if I was entitled to any tax credits and whether my heating was mains fed or fuel. When I stated that my house was mains fed I was advised that I don't qualify. The call ended.

This is a total scam. Microsoft would never call you out of the blue, an 0208 number is no where near Reading, and the second number looks like a total invention. nBest to ignore.

Had a call today at 12.31 from this number, with a particularly nasty scam. He told me his name was "Peter" (though his accent was asian) and that he was from the "computer licensing department". Just called me regarding an attempted transaction to John Lewis. Said my account was ‘under attack’ and there had been several suspicious transactions. He said he would escalate my case to Level 3 fraud, set up a new account number and sort code with a random generated name. Phoned Santander fraud department who confirmed my account was safe - the scammer then called me back ‘No Caller ID’! so I told him in no uncertain terms that he was a scamming bastard and he could go forth and multiply.
