Another unknown number, one and a half rings at 1730, I wouldn t have answered anyhow, as I was in the bath. But I will of course block the number as, I stopped working in Crewe over four years ago, so there is no reason for anyone in Crewe to be calling. Also no message left.
Has regularly called each day for some weeks but never leaves a voicemail. Said they were from BT and wanted to improve my router to increase my internet speed. Tried to get me to log on to anydesk.com, which is a remote access portal. I actually asked them if doing so would give them access to my computer and they said no. Beware!

Another cold call scam. Preying on the vulnerable. If it is so important to talk to me, why not leave a message asking me to call back, instead of hanging up and phoning back later? Like normal people do. Because they want to catch me unawares, on the hop as it were, to get their greasy foot in the door while I m flustered. Maybe try and steal some data from me while they are at it. Why is this practice not illegal already?
