I ignore all calls coming into my landline number until the caller speaks. If no one speaks within a few seconds, I assume that I ve been called by an autodialler which is activated by the sound of my voice, and because I ve remained silent.... nothing happens, or I hang up. I then dial 1471 for the number and Google it. I never call any numbers they ve left for me to call. If they are too lazy to make any effort to contact me themselves.... then their call can t be that important!

Sent text message to my mobile claiming to be from BT - then asked name and BT number. I refused further information on the grounds that BT already have my address and was given some unbelievable story about my mobile number having come up in some other context. Two hours later, the same message arrived on my wife s mobile. Clearly some sort of scam but I do not know what.
HSBC So HSBC are now sending warnings about your bank account from a Vodaphone mobile number? Probably the most amateurish attempt I have seen to get your bank details. Sad, sad scammers.

This number called me today, said she was calling from the Nationwide Building Society. The female Indian caller knew my name, told me my postcode and asked me to confirm if it was correct. I told her I don t have an account with Nationwide and that she s a scammer after my personal details.... then hung up on her haha!

My husband has unfortunately been duped by this company - Clearview partnership. Started with hard sale on Carbon emmisions and he unfortunately has since gone on to invest large sums of money in gems and oil. Portfolio of investment was supposed to go to auction Dec 13. Received missed call at 18:50 which in itself is strange for a business. When I called it back there was a Click, and then a holding Jingle music started playing, as if I'd been transferred to another line. I ended the call after about 10secs. I would consider it spam

They said they are from vodafone, I have asked them few questions to confirm if they really have access to my account and it s not legit, it s a scam people.
