I am suspicious of this phone number. The man phoning spoke good English with a strong accent and was convincing. He told me he was from AV (antiviral program) and that my recent payment of £149 had not gone through. He offered me a discount policy at £29 for the next year. Re The failed bank payment, the bank itself stopped this money and when I spoke to my bank it was decided that the £149 seemed high for an anti viral program and there was a possibility of fraud. They ve called several time despite our numbers being TPS registered abd their being explicityly asked not to call us. It a pity the law doesn t provide for significant penalties. Fines and compensation of a few million pounds would soon stop them.
Called me twice so far today. Automated voice claiming to be from Mastercard/Visa, saying that £600 has been withdrawn from my account and to press 1 immediately, as my account has been compromised. Scaremongering and fraudulent. I hung up each time.

Had numerous calls from this and a similar number (01132989890) claiming to be from British Gas - chasing payment for someone else s outstanding Invoices. We ve told them several times that they have the wrong number, but they keep calling. I have been in contact with British Gas (both Home and Business)customer services and they confirmed this is NOT a British Gas number.
This number when called back, was a company called "Back on Track Loans"
