Left a message on my ansafone claiming to be from Sarah Wilson at HMRC and threatening legal action if I or my solicitor didn t call them back immediately! Called back and spoke to a male with an Asian accent who gave his name as Kevin. He eventually hung up when I insisted on speaking to Sarah Wilson. I called HMRC who confirmed this is not a genuine call from them!

On second reading - definitely - it is one digit short to be a genuine UK number.

Call purporting to be Talk-Talk saying I had a problem on my internet. Probably the usual scam to try and hack my computer and then chanrge me a fortune to solve the problem that the cretins have caused. Heavily accented asian voice which is typical as I ve had several calls of this nature in the past.

They ve called my mobile 20 times in the last week. Claimed to be from Motor Insurance Database UK. This is a number from Macclesfield. I asked "is your Co. in Macclesfield?", to which they replied "errrr uh-huh". I asked if they could give me their website details and they hung up. Total scam /. fraud scumbags.

Rang me today (4.1.23) with a very bad line but sounded like sales. When asked “where are you based” the line went dead.

Have blocked this number on my landline, they just keep ringing and ringing, I picked up once and then it goes dead. Very frustrating!

02 Nov 2021 - An Indian guy rang my mobile from this number, knew my name. LAdy pretending to be from telephone preference service, gives you your name, address and postcode. Then says preference service rewuires you to renew your membership giving the existing Debit card details. Then asks for the details - I refused. At this point line went dead.

This number is for Elmbridge XL gym. Totally ligit.
