I guess the previous owner had to cancel the number because of debt collecter calls. I have never gave this number to anybody yet so I just ignore it. Looks like the debt collector doesnt have their address...

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Obviously untrue considering the fact that it is almost impossible to talk to someone at HM Revenues &Customs who has some responsability and knows about taxes and rules, so why should they send you someone to prosecute you for sonething they don't even understand themselves.

Just called me regarding an attempted transaction to John Lewis. Said my account was ‘under attack’ and there had been several suspicious transactions. He said he would escalate my case to Level 3 fraud, set up a new account number and sort code with a random generated name. Phoned Santander fraud department who confirmed my account was safe - the scammer then called me back ‘No Caller ID’! so I told him in no uncertain terms that he was a scamming bastard and he could go forth and multiply.

Scam. Said they were Matthew calling about the government scheme loft insulation we recently had installed. We haven't had such insulation. Have received about 5 calls in 2 weeks.
