Received a call off a man claiming to be from a Sapphire in Cardiff, he told me I filled out a survey (which I have been doing recently) n because of this I m now lucky enough to win a free £20 voucher for fuel, he then went on to say that I only need to pay £1 for postage, he already had my name n address. Stupidly I gave over my bank details (long card number n expiry date) I did actually question him on the phone about why he needs my card details but he ensured me that it s all real n gave me his person

25 Nov 2021 - Not an 02 or 03 number so are the scammers changing tactics. Couldn’t understand a word chap was saying so put phone down. After reading other comments it would appear to be the scam to white goods insurance cover. I had a similar call a couple of months ago from a guy called Martin (by his accent a long shot on this being his real name) Claiming to be from D&G about renewing insurance cover. SCAM It's a call from "Microsoft" stating hackers have been attacking my windows machine. I managed to keep the guy on the call for 4 minutes until he realised I was wasting his time when he asked if I'd seen event view before... I work in software development, hopefully wasting his 4 minutes stops another person falling for underhand tactics.

I answered this all on my mobile and they hung up immediately so I rang from a land line and was told by an automatic message that I had won vouchers and/or and Ipad. I was to receive a call shortly to complete a short lifestyle survey at which point I put the phone down as we know what these surveys are like!!!!
