This number claimed to be from BT. The person said I may have a technical error in my broadband router. I disputed it and I asked the person to give me their number so I could call them back. I was told I could Google it and when I said I was not going to Google it and I asked again for their number the line went dead.
This is a scam number as they have called my house phone number today saying my bank cards have 2 transactions going out,that are not recognised, little do they know my house phone number has never been given to anyone apart from my sister in law who lives abroad as we don't use it we use our mobiles. So this would not be linked to any of our banks, and its an auto mated message.
No answer.Called it back and said number not recognised. Blocked.

Scam for DPD. I’ve had messages from DPD before and they’d never write anything like ‘your parcel is being held at depot’, not to mention it isn’t even the UK site or even the site at all mentioned.
Not sure what this was about. I answered and it went silent then someone said hello, knew my email address. Something about a transfer payment being stuck and verifying my data in regards to ID fraud. I had an echo on the line, couldn't hear properly. Caller had strong accent, possibly French. Asked them to call back in 20 mins by which time I would be home and hopefully no echo. They didn't call back. Potentially a scam call in itself? Call center

I had a phone call from this number today (25/02/2022-17:17) (0161-520-1872 !!!) The person on the line asked for me by name. Which seem very odd to me. As this is a number that I did not know. And told me that he calling to ask if my home had any damaged from the recent bad weather we have had. When I then asked him on how he got my personal number. This is some company who wanted me to answer to a survey. They called me numerous times before, with varying phone numbers. They always call me while at work, and each time I tell them I have no time for their survey. They refuse to accept that and insist it will be very short and just proceed with their survey. Even after all these tries they have not figured out that I can simply hang up and block their number …

This is a scam. They claim to be calling from DHL about an unpaid import duty charge but they haven’t even got the right amount! I’d already had an email from DHL a few days earlier. Didn’t ask for payment over the phone but sent an email. What bothers me is that they had my home phone number, my email address (the payment link was in a very poorly constructed fake email from ‘George Spofforth’) & the DHL waybill number. Serious data breach going on here.

I didnt answer as at work and was left a voicemail of someone breathing so yeah potential scam.

Seem to be using at least 4 different numbers but all the same company. When they do speak it's to talk about trying to get social landlord to do repairs on your property, but I suspect that's just their latest scam. Same person has then tried calling back next day from a different number as I blocked the first one, each time I block I get called from a new one. Now when one calls and I answer they hang up.

Just had a call asking if we did embroidery services (which we don't) and digital services for design work. He then asked me for the prices we charge for this? I told him that we do not have a standard charge and I will not be stating a value - very thick accent which was hard to be able to understand fully. Very polite though.
