This is an old Barclaycard number. You may get a call from here telling you there has been fraudulent use of your account and that further texts will come from a mobile phone. They will also ring you. Do not give them any details but contact the fraud department at Barclaycard direct using the number on their website. This number has been listed as a fake O2 number in other website. Many other people have received calls from this fake number in the past.
As I initially gave this company permission to look into a ppi claim on my behalf after I e.mailed them after several months of silence, I then received a letter informing me that I am entitled to £800. 3 months later they messaged me to say that I have no claim. What happened to the £800 ????
By the tone of the caller it was a scam to elicit money from me by offering a service to claim for an accident which did not happen.
