SCAM. Claiming to be from Virgin Media. Wanted access to my computer, to check my router. They did have my name and customer ID. I contacted virgin media, who informed me that they do not make such phone calls, unless we, the customer, requests it.

I ve been getting several calls a day not just from this number, but from others, too - or sometimes they come up as "unavailable" or "international". All of them are from people with an Indian accent saying that they are calling to fix a problem with my PC and quickly become very rude when questioned. I have an answerphone, so have now stopped picking up. This is obviously some kind of scam

Pressed 1 to be connected to an operator (might as well waste their time) but as soon as it connected they hung up on me. Phone scammers not wanting to take a phone call? Gets you to lookup "1p address" on google to "prove" this (which is nonsense). Then to access deskroll.com so he can remote access your computer. I led him on a bit to find out what would happen, then told him what i thought of him... so he swore at me and put the phone down! lol

The caller stating saying about the RSPCA so I listened to what he was saying and as he went on realised he was going to ask for money, ?10 a month thats all, I said no thanks, then he went on about cruelty to animals and said what about ?1 a week, I still said no thanks, had to hang up in the end
