SCAM Called to say my home appliance cover will be discounted. Gave the name of Chris Jones and a contact number of 08007789104. Gave him false sort code and account number to see where this was going. He asked me to "confirm" my date of birth also gave him a false date, he missed the fact it was April Fool's day. Do they expect me to call them to find out why they called. If it is MOT reminder, just text me don t repeat call, that is aggressive advertising!

Caller was trying to make me transfer money to his company.. obviously fake. Good ol Nigerian lies.. i was called by +441582-500140. It s a known strategy to make people transfer money, with the promise that they will get even more money back.
New one on me. Even so, did not get through BT Call Guardian and now blocked ... PERMANENTLY!

Scam call from HMRC. Caller message is in an American accent and when you call back its an offshore rather than UK dial tone and they answer as HMRC - clearly a scam of some sort and not a very convincing one. Caller blocked but beware!!!

This number was given to me by Visa Card Scammers, when I questioned the quality of the call. They asked for my bank sort code, (I gave them one that I knew from Coventry) Then in an effort to prove they were legit, proceeded to tell me where my bank was. This scam revolves around a supposed transaction from your bank card. Never tell these guys any real information.
