Very rude woman called. Initially all polite "I m calling from "Eco" - (something I could not hear) - "how are you today"? When I said suspicious of calls like this, she turned nasty - "you re not much of a man if you are scared of a cold call". Beware. Probably scammers.

Female voice informs me of suspicious activity on my Amazon account. I don't have an Amazon account. Call terminates when I ask for an informed opinion on whether wearing stockings or hold-ups on a first date is conducive to romance.

They are low life scammers trying to either get you to buy their scam software license or steal your banking details. Beware!!!

Someone telephoned saying that they were gathering information for a survey, wanted to know postcode, age bracket, if I read the news paper, who your energy supplier is, home owner or rented and would I be interested in a call from Scottish Power.
I think this may have originated from a survey I started but stopped when I realised I would be getting a load of junk calls.
This is one of the office phone numbers at Enterprise Car Rental in High Wycombe. Different from their advertised number.

A text apparently from HSBC saying a payment was attempted from a new device, if this wasn’t me, go online to hs-payee-bankingonline-supportalert.com/login/. I didn’t open the link. Not only that, it’s a company credit card and they don’t have my personal telephone number. So obviously a scam.

I know many people who will no longer answer their landline unless they recognise the callers number. It is businesses like IJT, boiler-room scams and PPI Claim companies who have changed the telephone from a useful tool and friend into a nuisance ridden pain in the arse. Well done everyone!

Recorde message about debt financing, undoubtedly a scam
Caller to our TPS registered number wrongly claiming to be "your current energy supplier". Attempted to tell me I was wrong when I told him that they weren t our supplier, and demanded to know if I was "the manager", and then attempted a line of stammering bullshit when I asked him to prove his credentials by quoting me the account number and the name of the account holder. A complete, lying, shyster who got himself told to sod off, in fairly short order.

Sent to Surrey Police at 1506 11 May 2014 This is not a complaint against the Police. I am complaining about telephone number 01274 792012 whom are harassing me. Genuine call from Halifax fraud prevention. They noticed someone in USA somehow used my card for a very small amount £4.24 (apparently they do this to see if it s accepted) They have cancelled my card and are sending a new one straight away. Excellent service from Halifax
