Received this number on my mobile this morning soon after I had packed my shopping away. As others are saying, its UNICEF but how they got my number is a complete mystery.

The caller hung up after a few rings, I didn t have time to get to the phone, so rang the number which 1471 gave me. Result - "Sorry, this number has not been recognised"

The people on the other end of this phone have confirmed by letter they are delivering me a phone on 23rd August 2012 and that my current phone will be switched off on 26th. Got a text first thing in the morning saying my current contract had expired and I would receive a call later with and updated offers. Got the call from O2 on this number about 2 hours later.
