SCAM. Call received at around 21:30 hours. Caller asked to speak with me by first name. I did not confirm whether I was the person required, but asked who was calling. She did not answer but repeated her question. When I asked again who was calling, the young sounding woman said 'I'm from Virgin.' I then asked what she wanted with the person for whom she had called and she hung up. A bit later I called the number back and the same woman answered with 'hello!' Definitely not from Virgin. Scammer.
Asking if anyone at this number had had an accident that wasn t their fault...

This number rang me yesterday. It was a recorded message saying money had been taken from our account by Amazon and also a money transfer. It then rang off. This is a scam number. DO NOT ANSWER IT. Automated call telling me my ISP was about to be shut down due to a faulty router and I need to press 1 to speak to my ISP to get a new router.
SCAM Automated call from "Amazon", confirming renewal of Amazon Prime for one year for £71 plus. Given options of "Press 1 for this, 2 for that." Of course I have not renewed an Amazon Prime membership - didn't have one to renew. I said nothing, pressed no buttons, and after about 30 seconds of silence the line dropped. It's likely they would have asked for my cc details so the could confirm/reverse the charge; I'll never know :-)
