Fraud Caller had a strong accent and spoke poor english. There was a lot of background noise as you would expect from a call centre. Asked to speak to my husband but did not mention his first name. TAXES / HMRC Received a call from 08002853110, claiming to be from Department of Work and Pensions, fraud detected regarding my National Insurance Number, which was being suspended ! I tried to contact DWP by phone, but, due to Covid, was told to go online @ gov.uk. Online - was told to phone DWP contact number. Gave up, and decided to call above number - NUMBER INVALID. Got to be a scam !

Indian man, after giving an English name,says he is calling from BT Technical Dept.I know that there is no such Department within the BT organisation!!I said goodbye and put the phone down!! It is High time BT themselves did something about this type of call as it has been going on for a very long time.Do not be fooled, it is a SCAM which potentially will relieve you of large amounts of your money!!

SCAM 0161 488 0914. Caller said they were from Sky Technical Department and that there was a problem with my router and internet speed, which there isn't and never has been. Woman spoke with an almost inaudible Indian accent and refused to give her name or confirm my details. I hung up.

This seems to be a scam operation. A woman phoned us from this phone number and said could they come and do an asbestos check on our house. We have no asbestos at all, and when I stated my reluctance to make a firm appointment, they immediately cut off.

Just received a call from this number asking if we take American Express - I advised no and asked what company they were from assuming it was a customer. He just said he was exploring opportunities for points on his cards. This number appears to be associated with American Express but it would be nice if they were honest about the reason for their call. Call back not possible as I would have asked to be removed from their database.
