Number came up as "The Graham Arms Inn". Caller claimed to represent Vodafone but was unable to tell me my name (I'm a Vodafone customer). When pressed for an answer he hung up.
This is not from alpha galaxy. The company is a hoax misusing the name of a popular firm in Malaysia.

Repeated calls from this same company with an automatic voice message saying it is a "government awareness call" and asking me to press 5 for an information pack or 9 to opt out. Pressing 5 takes me through to someone who hangs up on me immediately when I start asking about his company or asking for my number to be removed from their database.
Phoned up claiming I had asked them to quote for a new mortgage. Disconnected call when I said had not requested such thing and it was an unsolicited call.
Recorded message purportedly from HMRC. Apparently I owe them money ( I don’t by the way). I recently had a similar call from a different number to my landline, also supposedly from HMRC but that one was telling me there was a warrant out for my arrest for non payment of tax! Too ridiculous for words but anyone who is vulnerable could easily be frightened by calls like this.
When I complained about a shoddy repair, I got my head kicked in by the owner, I'll go to the nice chap in Albert Square next time...

SCAM This is a call centre saying it is a courtesy call due to an appliances warrantee expiring, on this instance it was a washing machine, so quite believable. They wanted £65 per year for another 3 years full cover. It sounded very genuine until she said that she wanted me to tell her the name and make of my appliance and i said that i was ok and didn't want to renew the warrantee as i'd had it for over 5 years, then they just hung up and the line went dead. Receieved a call from this number a few minutes ago. Not sure why someone from Oswestry would want to call me but answered anyway. Very obviously a call centre fronm the background noise so I was quite happy to have a chat but unfortunately the call was dropped. Oh well, no fun to be had here so 01691 numbers are blocked.

14 Dec 2021 - Spam caller. I didn't accept the call, so rejected it upon my phone ringing as mine always tells me when it's a spam call during the ringing. Have since blocked it as I'm not as gullible as the spammer thinks. No idea who the spam call was from, but from experience I knew it was one of the many spam calls I've been getting for the past ten days at least.
