Indian man who claimed I had been specially selected as a Carphone Warehouse customer to benefit from a special offer. I've never shopped at Carphone Warehouse, so knew it was a scam. When I confronted him with this he said he got my number from a database. I asked him what his mother thought of him working as a scam caller, at which point he hung up.

I have told friends and family to leave a message and I will pick-up the phone as soon as I recognise the caller or the reason for the call or I will call back.
