Automated voice purporting to be Inland Revenue.
This is a scam number pretending to be from the "ONS" (Office of National Statistics) for a telephone interview following on from the National Census form completion. It was from a letter from the so called ONS but the phone number was written by hand. The letter also contained genuine numbers for the ONS to give it a realistic authenticity. They try to get you to pay a fine/ empty your bank account.

got 2 calls in the space of half an hour from this number, claiming to be from Microsoft and that my "Windows computer" has downloaded a virus without my knowledge. Not according to my a/v software, which is active on all the windows machines at home. Usual scam, supply a credit card number which will get fleeced, but more worryingly they will ask for control of your windows computer to download that very virus they were talking about to your machine.

I have been receiving several calls a week from this number to my mobile phone, home number and office number. They either say they are from "Trading Banks" or a market research company in Taiwan. Either way, you know it s a scam. I like to have fun with them. They have all been Filipino until today where the caller was of African descent. Banking Scam - VISA - Money waiting my permission to be paid overseas from my current account -(American woman's pre - recorded voice) I checked my online banking account and nothing waiting to be paid overseas.

Called number back using Jabber at work.. After ringing for a while a recorded message from a well spoken gent says Please hold the line someone will be with you shortly 3 repeat messages later and 3 min s later a female with an accent says Goodby So confirmed it is scam !
