This number is being used for a scam. This number called claiming to be the bank & said two large payments had been drawn from my account- one for Amazon & one international payment . I ended the call without pressing any phone keys, then phoned my bank on a trusted number: they said my account was fine & the call had been a scam.

Was from an Indian Call Centre (you could tell from the background noise) asking about a car accident I had during the last 2 years (I have not had one) so I challenged him as to where he got my number from he hung up.
Claimed to be from BT saying the internet was going to be cut off. We are not with BT.

Money in control literally saved my life, I managed to get my self in a right state with my fianances, I was contacted out of the blue and at first I was schepitcal of a company helping me who I have never heard of before. Went to voicemail so only caught half the message as it was prerecorded, mentioned HMRC... Something about "registered under your name, press 1 and your call will be connected to the officer dealing with the case if you don't press on the warrant will be issued under your name and you will be arrested shortly." Really unnerving! Not like my nerves are not already in tatters dealing with the pandemic and potential job-loss.

They called,said I was due a refund from a credit card. I immediately told them I was registered with TPS and that I did not want to be called again by them. Chap on the line got a bit arsy and said "well if you don t want a refund then" at which point I hung up
SCAM / SPAM Scam claiming bt internet technician. First he states his name is justin. Then he states jim. He had a foreign - Indian or Pakistani accent. Tells you to download team viewer app from play store/ Apple store and then asks you for the id number. They will try to block your device and charge you to unlock it. When I stated I use virgin he saud by can fix the virgin technical problems too. If I had a problem I would ring my provider which was none of the ones I have mentioned here.
