Claimed to be from Amazon, saying that someone had placed a £~2K order on my account and I had to push 1 or 2 to resolve the issue. Checked my account, no such order. Phoned back, got some poor woman who was at a beauty appointment. Someone is managing to get around fraud prevention by spoofing the number sources.

Calls several times a day up to 9.30 pm incl. weekends. Answered once by mistake and a woman asked for my wife as she had spoken to her before. When told not married the woman hung up. Absolute nuisance calling so many times.

Robotic recording purporting to be from Amazon thanking the householder for their order and that they have been charged £399 on their debit card for an iphone that they have purchased (not). They want you to press "1" to speak to an adviser. Do not press "1".

This number rang me yesterday. It was a recorded message saying money had been taken from our account by Amazon and also a money transfer. It then rang off. This is a scam number. DO NOT ANSWER IT. Been called a couple of times from this number claiming I have money owed to me from a third party in my last crash. There was no third party involved, only myself, yet they keep on ringing and telling me this (presumably they want my bank details). This appears to be a scam to obtain credit card details for illegal purposes. We called the number and was immediately asked for our credit card number, but NOT WHICH CREDIT CARD NUMBER, which raises concern over legitimacy, as we have several cards, so which one would we use?

This is the 3rd different number used by the same scammers. Unusual card transaction £300 & £1000. Odd they never tell whose card or what card and always sane amount. Need to be gulible to get conned by these numpties. If in doubt call the number on the back of your card. Never react to their suggestions. Dont be fooled.
