Silent call, Had three calls from Northwich area with different numbers in two days. Left phone to answer, they don't leave a message but stay silent before hanging up.
I missed a call, tried to call back - I was expecting a call from unknown mobile number. It cuts off. I sent a message, it bounces back as "phone number is formatted incorrectly". I found others are looking up for a very similar number, just last digits differ, so I guess this is a spam also.

Received call from Indian sounding male, call centre environment. Said other people had been using my router. He did NOT ask to confirm my name address, account etc. I asked him many questions as I new it was a scam. He asked me to go to my computer. He said he could not send me an email to confirm who he was so I asked him to call back in half an hour whilst I ring BT to clarify who he is, he quickly put the phone down. Had 9 calls on Tuesday, I didn t answer as i d left my phone at home. Answered the 3rd call on Wednesday, Guy asking for Bank details to set up contract for phone. Told him I m not legally allowed a contract, He replied - give me your details and i ll check if I can help - I hung up! VERY DODGY!!!!!
Indian accent, claiming to be from O2 offering 30% discount on your plan. They try to trick you by submitting a 'forgotten password' command onto your account. You receive a genuine text message from O2 with a security code. They try to convince you that's the 'discount activation code' and ask you to give it to them, presumably to hack your account while on the phone to you. Do not give them anything! Fraud
Claimed that my internet was going to be disconnected, and to press 1 to talk to my ISP. I pressed '1' for fun and when answered I said that I thought it was a scam and wondered why I was being called. The person on the other end of the line swore at me for about 10 seconds and then hung up on me. All great fun.
