Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1792917xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI claims (also reclaim money from holidays) / insurance marketing / energy schemes. Unfortunately my son Had had an accident the day before so we thought it was the insurance company and told them about it but as already said it s just a machine with someone pressing the buttons because the line went dead when my husband told them about the accident the day before. When he told me that I immediately said he needed to hang up which he did. Today it s a different number but same silence, no message left.

It's a scam - someone claimed they are calling from O2 Chinese Customer Service center - they even know my personal details (e.g. name, number, email) and say I am involved with sending spamming text so need to file a record with chinese police. They gave me lots of details to verify their identity that makes them trustworthy. However, I reconfirmed with O2 that this is not their CS number - so it's only a spam call. Beware!
