They call you and ask you to chose an option via an automated audio. This will likely re-route your call to a premium number that they own. It is not a legitimate caller so do not answer it.

This is a scam. It comes through as a local number and tells you you have been charged a large amount by a popular online store then asks for information.

Shanon called apparently from the FCA, telling me I was going to receive £3,750 for my PPI claim today by 12 noon. Passed me onto David Thomas who said I would have to pay £375 to the delivery driver for the solicitor with an Amazon gift card! Talk about a scam !!!

on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. Fraud I keep getting calls from this number. It is an automated voice that says it is from BT and then proceeds to tell me they have been trying to get in contact and that if I don't respond my phone line will be disconnected. It's obviously a scam as I'm not even with BT. This has been happening for the past week and occurs several times a day.
