If you say you're not with BT, that doesn't bother them as they just say BT is the overall company and they're just protecting you. 'Annie' hung up when I insisted she was a scammer.

This is another fake number being used by the criminals to say they are Talk Talk and whose purpose is to infect computers. It was a silent call - not a sound when I answered - but that is not unusual. I get such calls daily. Other reporting sites (not Tellows) confirmed what I knew already - that it was these people again. A woman claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse asked for my phone company. She refused to answer the question of whether or not the process would cost money, so it's a potential scam. An annoying call for sure, as she kept on asking for my phone company.
The person called stating hat they can reduce the electric and gas bills , despite me telling him not interested became aggressive and i just put the phone down as could not state where he was from and how he got my number from.

Call centre, claiming to be the Technical Department @ Virgin Media, wishing to discuss my internet access. I told her my number is registered with TPS and requested that all of my details are immediately removed from their database. She hung up without confirming whether she had complied. Strangely, her telephone number seems to be a landline in Germany and she is calling a UK mobile number. As I am not a Virgin Media customer, this is most likely a scam.

Almost immediately after I received a warning from O2 by text: *SECURITY WARNING* The one-time code you requested will arrive shortly. If someone's calling you and asking for a code, please end the call because they DO NOT work for O2. If you suspect fraud, call us on 202 so we can protect your account. Soon after a code came from O2. This suggests the caller was trying to access my account.

Silent call. Phoned me and didn’t say anything. I ran them back and they didn’t answer. Wasting my time.
Loads of calls in the last two days, number always changes, and they speak very fast in Indian. I got so annoyed I went through their "survey" which was just a phishing experiment and gave them a load of rubbish but made sure that at the very very end when they asked the question if you were OK to have other parties call about your answers I said "not ok" and he did repeat it back and said that no-one would call. We shall see !! Clearly a crappy company.
