Just seen on news that this kind of number is ringing people and then hanging up but when you get your bill it is as if you have answered it and been on the call from 3-12 hours. Check your bills now people!

This number seems to be used by some call centre - I can see very similar numbers reported (01244470043, 44,45), all the same range just with last digits different, which is a common thing - they use a range of similar numbers. They are reported with different scope, but mostly as PPI offers and pensions (financial services).
